Bilingual web design · Houston, Texas

A website your business actually owns.

I build complete websites for small businesses around Houston — in English, in Spanish, or both. The Spanish is written by me, a native speaker, not run through a translator. I write the copy, handle the setup, and register the domain in your name from day one.

What you get

Every build includes all of this.

No line items appearing halfway through. This is the whole build — and if something you need isn't on this list, I’ll tell you what it costs before any work gets done.

Pages that fit

One page or ten. Home, services, about, contact — whatever structure your business actually needs.

The writing, done for you

I write the copy. This is the step that stalls most projects, so I take it off your plate.

Built for phones first

Most of your customers will find you on a phone. That’s the version I design first.

A contact form that works

Goes straight to your inbox. Tested before launch, not assumed to work.

Findable on Google

Page titles, descriptions, and your Google Business listing set up properly.

The domain in your name

Registered to you, with you on the account. You can leave and take it with you.

Two rounds of changes

You see it, you tell me what’s wrong, I fix it. Twice, included, no clock running.

Fast, because it’s built by hand

No page builder, no plugin bloat — only the code each page needs, so there’s less to download on cell service.

A date, and I hit it

About a week for a single page, two to three for a standard build. I’ll tell you up front if yours will take longer.

English and Spanish

A real Spanish version, not a translate button.

Spanish is my first language. When you order both, I write both — your Spanish pages are written the way a Spanish-speaking customer talks, not run through a translator. In Houston that reaches a lot of customers your competitors are missing.

Built in both languages

  • Every page written in English and in Spanish by the same person, so both say the same thing in their own words
  • Spanish pages on their own addresses, which Google can show to people searching in Spanish
  • Spanish page titles, descriptions and Google listing — local search in both languages
  • A language switch that takes people to the matching page, not back to the home page

A translate plugin

  • Machine translation that a native speaker spots in the first sentence
  • Usually swaps the words in the visitor’s browser, so Google never sees the Spanish and can’t show it in results
  • Menus, services and prices translated literally — and sometimes wrongly
  • Nobody checking whether the Spanish actually makes sense

This site is the example — switch to ES at the top of the page. Both languages from +$200, priced by size.

  • 30 minutes of changes every month. Hours, prices, photos, text. One update on its own costs $65, so the plan pays for itself the first time you use it.
  • I test your contact form every month. Forms break quietly. Most owners find out because a customer says "I messaged you weeks ago."
  • Uptime and speed monitoring. If your site goes down or slows, I find out before you do — and before a customer does.
  • Your Google listing kept current. Holiday hours, new photos, changed details — the thing that actually decides whether locals find you.
  • Hosting, SSL, daily backups, domain renewal paid. You never get the email saying your domain expires in seven days.
  • You go first. Plan work gets done within two business days. Everyone else waits behind it.

Not on the plan? That’s fine — changes are $65 each, covering up to 30 minutes of work, and anything bigger gets quoted before I start. No plan, no monthly charge, and the site is still entirely yours.

Common additions

Already have a site? Let’s see what it’s costing you.

Send me the address and I’ll go through it properly — how fast it loads, whether it works on a phone, whether Google can find it, and what’s costing you calls. You get a straight answer in writing. It’s 100% free, and you won’t get a sales pitch.

If the honest answer is that your current site is fine, I’ll tell you that too.

One audit per week, for businesses in the Houston area. I do these myself in the evenings — if this week is taken, I’ll tell you when the next slot is.

I’ll confirm your slot within two business days. No newsletter.

Vargas Service Management

Bookkeeping and income tax office in Clute, Texas. Built and launched by me.

The situation
A bookkeeping and income-tax office serving families and small businesses across Brazoria County. Nine services to explain clearly, clients who would rather deal with the office in Spanish, and customers who reach the office by phone or WhatsApp rather than by filling in forms.
What I built
  • Four pages, with all nine services laid out so a walk-in can understand them in one pass
  • A Spanish-language section, written in Spanish rather than translated
  • Local business structured data, so the office shows up properly in local search and on the map
  • Tap-to-call and WhatsApp up front — how the office’s customers actually get in touch

How it works

Three steps, and you know the price before step two.

Step 01

Tell me about the business

A phone call or an email. What you do, who your customers are, and what you want the site to get you. Fifteen minutes is usually enough.

Step 02

You get a price and a date

In writing, before anything starts — what the site includes, what it costs, when it goes live. Half is due to book the slot, half when it launches. If the scope changes later, I ask you first.

Step 03

I build it and hand it over

I write the copy, build the site, and show it to you. Two rounds of changes. Then it goes live on a domain that’s already in your name.

The part most people get wrong

Your domain gets registered in your name.

Plenty of agencies register the domain under their own account. It’s convenient for them, and it means that leaving costs you your web address, your email, and every customer who had it written down. I don’t work that way. Your domain goes in your name, with you on the account, from the first day — whether you stay with me or not.

If you already own a domain, we use that one. If you’re with someone who won’t release yours, tell me and I’ll walk you through getting it back.

I’m one person, and that’s the point.

When you hire Lambent, you get me. The person you talk to on the phone is the person writing your copy and building your pages. Nothing gets handed to a junior designer and nothing gets lost between three people who have never met your business.

I have a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Phoenix, and I spent seven years doing accounts payable reconciliation — which is a long way of saying I spent seven years making sure numbers and deadlines were right the first time. That’s the habit I brought to this. You’ll get a price before I start, a date I intend to hit, and a straight answer if something changes.

Lambent is new and I’m not going to pretend otherwise. What I can point to is a finished site for a real business that’s live today, and a price that’s on this page instead of behind a sales call. Look at the work, and if it’s the standard you want, get in touch.

Questions

The things people ask before they call.

What does it actually cost?

It depends on how many pages you need. A single page is $600, up to five pages is $1,200, and six to ten is $2,000. Add-ons are priced on this page too, so you can work out your own total before you call me. Anything outside what you agreed gets quoted separately, first.

For my first five clients those prices are $450, $900 and $1,600, in exchange for permission to show the work and a short testimonial. That’s a temporary rate, not what the work normally costs.

When do I pay?

Half to start, half when the site goes live. The deposit is what books your place in the schedule — it’s also the reason I can write your copy and build your pages before you’ve paid in full.

The balance isn’t due until you’ve seen the finished site and you’re happy with it. If you aren’t, it doesn’t launch and we keep working. What I don’t do is build an entire website on the promise of payment afterwards.

What if I need more than two rounds of changes?

Then we do more. Two rounds are included because that’s genuinely enough for almost everyone — I write the copy from your own words, so the first draft is usually close. After the two included rounds, further changes are $65 each, covering up to 30 minutes, and anything larger gets quoted before I touch it.

One thing worth saying plainly: if we’re on round four because I keep missing what you asked for, that’s on me and I don’t charge you for it. The $65 is for new requests and changes of mind, not for me getting it wrong.

How long does it take?

About a week for a single page, two to three weeks for a standard build, three to four for a larger one — counting from the day the deposit lands and I can reach you for what I need. The most common delay is waiting on photos or a logo, so having those ready moves it along. I build alongside a full-time job, which is exactly why I quote real weeks instead of promising days.

Do I really own the domain?

Yes. It’s registered in your name, with your email on the account, and you get the login. If you ever want to move to someone else, you take the domain with you and you don’t have to ask my permission. This is the single most common way small businesses get stuck with an agency, and it isn’t going to happen here.

Who writes the words?

I do. You tell me about your business in a conversation, and I write the pages from that. You read it, correct anything I got wrong, and we go from there. Most people find this is the difference between a site that launches and a site that sits half-finished for eight months waiting on someone to write an about page.

What if I already have a website?

Then we replace it, and you keep your existing domain and your existing search history. Same price. If your current site has content worth keeping I’ll carry it over rather than making you retype it.

Do I have to take the monthly plan?

No. Pay once and you’re done — no subscription, nothing recurring. The care plan exists because some owners would rather not think about hosting, renewals, or updating their hours twice a year. If that isn’t you, skip it.

What happens after it goes live?

On the one-time build, I hand over every login with a recorded walkthrough of how to make basic changes, and you can hire me for updates whenever you want. On the care plan, you email me what you need changed and I handle it — up to 30 minutes a month, which covers hours, prices, photos and text. Bigger jobs get quoted first.

Do you work with businesses outside Houston?

Yes, and the process is identical over phone and email. Houston is where I am and where I would rather meet in person, but nothing about the work requires us to be in the same room.

Start a project

Tell me what you need. I’ll reply with a price.

No sales call required to find out what it costs — the price is already on this page. Send a few details and I’ll come back with what I would build and what it runs.

Rather just talk?

Free · no obligation · no sales pitch

I work a full-time job from 8:30 to 5:30, Monday to Friday. Text or email during those hours and I’ll read it and reply as soon as I’m free — I just can’t take calls. For a call: weekdays 5:30 to 8:30pm, or weekends 10am to 6pm. Emails get an answer within two business days, always.
