Small business websites

A small business site should cost what it costs.

$1,200 for a complete site with the writing included. Not a $99 template you have to fill in yourself, and not a $9,000 agency project with a discovery phase.

Is this you

You need a website and every quote has been useless so far.

  • You’ve been quoted $6,000 and can’t work out what for
  • You started a site builder and it’s still half-finished
  • Everyone wants a monthly fee before they will show you anything
  • You don’t have time to write five pages about your own business
  • You’ve been told you need things you don’t understand
  • You just want a site that works and a number you can plan around

There are two markets for small business websites and neither one fits you. At the bottom there are templates and site builders, which are cheap because you do all the work — and the work is the part you don’t have time for. At the top there are agencies charging five figures for a process designed around companies with a marketing department.

The missing middle is a person who builds you a good site for a fair price and then goes away. That’s the whole idea here. $1,200, copy included, live in two to three weeks, no subscription unless you want one.

The reason the writing is included matters more than it sounds. Almost every stalled small business website in the world is stalled in the same place: somebody was supposed to write the about page and never did. I take that off your plate, you correct what I got wrong, and the site actually launches.

Questions

The practical questions.

Why is this so much cheaper than the other quotes?

No office, no account manager, no project manager, no sales team, and no monthly platform I have to resell you. It’s one person who already knows how to do this, working efficiently. The site you get is hand-built and fast — the savings come out of overhead, not out of your site.

What if my business is really small?

That’s who this is for. A one-truck operation and a three-location restaurant get the same care, because the work is largely the same. If your business genuinely only needs one page, say so and I’ll tell you honestly whether you can pay less.

What happens if I need more later?

You ask, I quote it, you decide. New pages and new features are priced per job and always agreed before I start. Nothing rolls over into a bill you didn’t expect.

Start a project

Tell me what you need. I’ll reply with a price.

No sales call required to find out what it costs — the price is on this page. Send a few details and I’ll come back with what I would build and what it runs.
